Forever Beta Starts at 20, and There Are No Tokens or Boosts Planned
Clay Stone tells Destin the September 17 Forever beta opens at level 20, then 30 after a couple of weeks — with no plans for a WoW Token or paid boosts.
Forever still launches November 4, with beta Thursday, September 17. A Destin interview with Associate Production Director Clay Stone is the first player-facing note on how that beta is gated, and on shop shortcuts the What’s Next recap never mentioned.
Beta cap
The test does not open at 30. Stone said it starts at level 20, then the cap moves to 30 after a couple of weeks. Progress does not carry to launch. That is still a beta, not an early November 4 login.
Live Forever stays a level-60 game. The Deep Dive systems — campfires, Legacy Points, rulesets — are not a beta schedule.
No Token, no boosts
Stone: no plans for a WoW Token or a paid character / XP boost in Forever. The 1–60 road is the point — you get better at the game by playing it, and the people you meet on that road are the product. Treat that as current design, not a forever contract.
This is not a shop SKU post. Retail still has Winds of Mysterious Fortune through September 22. Forever is a different login.
