Warcraft Forever Beta Is Live: Week 1 Cap 20, Through October 21
The Forever beta is on Battle.net after Thursday’s Q&A — week one is Skyborne, Zephras Isle, and the two low-level dungeons, with a level-20 cap.
The Warcraft Forever beta is live. The gate after Thursday’s Q&A is the Battle.net launcher, not a midnight drop. November 4 is still the launch. Progress does not carry.
How to launch it
In the Battle.net desktop app, pick World of Warcraft, then the World of Warcraft: Forever Beta game version under In Development, install, and log into any test realm. Opt-in accounts that got a wave are already flagged. Eligible digital bundles include access — Blizzard says those flags can lag up to 30 minutes and may need a launcher restart. Sign-ups stay open; later waves still go out. Confirm a Forever beta license on the account page instead of trusting a random “you’re in” email.
Wowhead saw login queues when the doors opened. That is not a live status check — try the launcher.
Week 1
The cap is 20, then 30 later in the test, matching the Destin interview. Official week-one slice:
- Skyborne and Zephras Isle
- Hall of Thanes (levels 13–18)
- Ruins of Lordaeron (levels 15–20)
- All zone content up to level 20
More zones, dungeons, and Darkspear Islands open later in the test. Blizzard also plans a later Server Slam — a several-hour window where anyone can log in — with no posted date.
How long
Testing runs through October 21, the last full day before launch prep. Q&A systems notes (GDKP, Reals, Onyxia 40, no Rated) are already up. This is not a shop SKU list and not a known-issues dump — Blizzard posted a separate day-one bug list.
