Forever Raids: Barrow Deeps, Hyjal Summit, and a December 9 Unlock
Official What’s Next names nine new dungeons, a 10-player Barrow Deeps, a 20-player Hyjal Summit, a Darkspear Islands battleground, and a December 9 raid open.
The zones recap is the map. This is the group content. Forever still launches November 4 at 3:00 p.m. PST, with beta September 17. Raids were already on the Saturday slide as 10- and 20-player. The What’s Next recap names them and dates the first unlock.
Nine new dungeons
Official list, not a datamine:
- Hall of Thanes under Ironforge
- Ruins of Lordaeron
- A new excavation above Whelgar’s Excavation
- City of Dalaran
- Blackmaw Hold
- The Drowned City
- Krol’dok Stronghold
- Alcaz Prison
- Shaper’s Terrace
The recap’s color: Forsaken reclaiming Lordaeron, magical trouble in Dalaran, titan work in Un’Goro, naga and pirates around the Drowned City, corruption in Blackmaw Hold. Do not invent boss names.
Two raids, then a date
The Barrow Deeps is the maximum-level 10-player raid. Hyjal Summit is 20-player. Both come with new tier sets. Blizzard also teased a legendary reward and said they will name it later. Do not invent the item.
Those raids do not open on launch day. New raids unlock December 9. The recap does not publish a boss list, an attunement, or any other raid name for that Tuesday. Later beats on the same slide: more raids, more dungeons, PvP updates, more 1–60 quests, Hardcore after launch, and a revamped iconic raid. No season number. No second date.
Darkspear Islands
PvP gets a 15 vs 15 battleground off Kalimdor’s coast. Darkspear Islands mixes control points with Arathi Basin-style flag captures. New dungeon quests and PvP rewards are called for, without a reward table.
Retail still has Winds of Mysterious Fortune through September 22 and the next scheduled class-tuning check-in on that same Tuesday. Forever is a different queue.
