Venomous Abyss Raid Skip Unlocks — Jump to the Coiled Altar
The Season 2 raid skip is live. Three weekly Coiled Altar kills unlock a shortcut past the middle wing; you still kill Nek’zali, then talk to Zul’jarra.
Week-three lockouts finally pay off. The Venomous Abyss raid skip is up — once the weekly quest is done, groups can walk from the opener to The Coiled Altar instead of clearing the two middle wings every lockout.
This is a farm shortcut, not a Mythic progression skip. The Race to World First still has to kill the room.
How it unlocks
Each difficulty has its own quest. The live version is The Venomous Abyss: Deception Unmasked. You earn it by killing The Coiled Altar in three different weeks. Characters who have been raiding since the August 18 open can turn that in now.
How the skip actually walks
You still start the instance. The path is shorter, not empty:
- Kill Nek’zali the Soulcoiler — the opener is not skipped
- Use the blood door into the Twin Fangs pit
- Talk to Zul’jarra to open the Coiled Altar door
After Ula’tek is dead you can still go back for the bosses you jumped. Twin Fangs stays gated behind Vashnik and Sszorak if you want that kill on the same lockout.
Raid Finder Wing 4 (The Tomb of Ula’tek) is still September 8. The skip does not replace Finder.
