Mythic Venomous Abyss RWF is underway — no Heroic-only week, heavy Normal/Heroic tuning, lag and bugs slowed NA day one while EU guilds join the hunt for Ula’tek.
The Race to World First for Mythic Venomous Abyss is live, and day one was messier than usual.
What’s different this tier
- One raid, eight bosses, ending on Mythic Ula’tek — Hall of Fame for the first 200 guilds worldwide
- No Heroic-only week — Normal, Heroic, and Mythic all opened with Season 2 on August 18 (EU a day behind)
- Guilds still lean on splits plus Tidebound Grotto Lair loot before the real Mythic grind
Top orgs in the mix include the usual RWF cast (Liquid, Echo, Method, and others). Streams and Warcraft Logs Competition Mode are the best live scoreboards.
Day one vibes
Coverage of the opening day pointed to a poisonous start: chunky Normal/Heroic tuning, NA lag, and enough bugs that split farming ate more of the clock than expected. Progress looked slower than a typical first day — EU realms coming online after NA is when the race usually snaps into focus.
Early Mythic kills on the first bosses are already starting to land as guilds finish gearing. The back half of the instance — especially Ula’tek — is the long game; Blizzard is already hotpatching Heroic Ula’tek and earlier bosses while the race runs.
