The Mythic Venomous Abyss Race to World First finally has a kill: Consequence took World First Mythic Nek’zali the Soulcoiler — reportedly in one pull after most top guilds spent the opening days buried in Heroic gearing.
Why it took so long
Day one and two of the race produced no Mythic bosses at all. Heroic tuning (especially Coiled Altar and Ula’tek) forced marathon Normal/Heroic splits, lag complaints, and hotfix whiplash before serious Mythic progression started.
Early Mythic poking from guilds like The Early Shift showed Nek’zali wasn’t a freebie — then Consequence walked in with the gear advantage and closed it instantly.
What followed
Once the door cracked, the field piled in. Daybreak, xD, Liquid, Method, and others started clearing early Mythic bosses in short order, with xD later taking World First on Mythic Lost Explorers and Liquid claiming World First on Mythic Entombed Sentinels.
