Hotfixes September 3: Mythic Ula’tek Caustic Waves Cannot Be Swum Under
September 3 publishes the Caustic Waves swimming close on Mythic Ula’tek — the Phase 3 workaround Maximum flagged during the race — plus Darkwell persistence, Spark in the Night credit, and class set fixes.
September 3 is the first published hotfix list since September 2. No class-tuning wave. The beat is Mythic Ula’tek: Caustic Waves can no longer be skipped by swimming under them.
Ula’tek (Mythic)
Player-facing for the Race to World First:
- Caustic Waves can no longer be avoided by swimming underneath
- Blight Vein tooltip pointed at the wrong damage value; the description is corrected (not a live damage cut)
This is the published version of the Phase 3 “jump into the venom” extra-seconds play Maximum flagged on stream while Echo was wiping at 1.23% P3. Wowhead’s race recap says Liquid talked through the close on the kill pull. Echo still converted World 2nd twenty-five minutes later. Method is the guild still on the boss.
Classes, dungeons, items
- Holy — Venomous Abyss 2-set: Renew now grants Renewed Vigor reliably
- Restoration Shaman (Totemic) — Oversurge again increases healing from Surging Totem and Overflowing Shores
- Ruby Life Pools — the Radiant Drake that ports you back to the entrance after the last boss now appears in Mythic+
- Zul’jin’s Guillotine Technique — Perfected Guillotine no longer picks a second target that is out of combat
Achievements and campaign
Spark in the Night now credits Sparks of War completed in the Coiled Isle, Val, and Naigtal.
The Darkwell stays up for characters who finished the Arator / Curse of Ula’tek quests but have not finished the War of Light and Shadow campaign.
