Class Tuning Incoming September 1: Frost DK, Prot Paladin, Hunter Buffs

Linxy posted the next scheduled Season 2 class tuning pass for September 1 weekly maintenance — the “second week of live data” check-in from the tuning roadmap. Last week’s August 25 list already landed; this is another targeted lift for specs still behind in raid and Mythic+, plus a PvP pass aimed at shorter games.

PvE headlines

Frost Death Knight — another single-target / two-target pass: Howling Blast main-target +15%, Obliterate +15%, Frost Strike +20%, melee +10%.

Protection Paladin — dungeon damage catch-up: Blaze of Glory +150%, Consecration +30%, Divine Guidance +30%.

Hunter — Beast Mastery you-and-pets +7%. Survival +7% (+3% in PvP).

Demon Hunter — Havoc all damage +4% (not PvP). Vengeance: Demonic Wards 12% → 15% DR, Void Reaver Frailty 5% → 6%, Fel Devastation healing +25%.

Druid — Shred +10%. Balance abilities +4% (not PvP). Feral abilities +5% (not PvP) plus auto-attack +10% and Ferocious Bite +10%. Restoration all healing +4%.

Also: Fire Mage +3% (not PvP), Frost Mage +6%, Mistweaver healing +5% and Venomous Abyss 4pc proc 20% → 25%, Windwalker +4% (not PvP), Discipline Shadow Mend mana −20%.

PvP (selected)

Healers’ Gladiator’s Distinction primary-stat bonus 10% → 5% so targets don’t get topped as fast.

Defensive trims elsewhere: Mage barriers −25% absorb in PvP, Ice Block / Mirror Image cooldown help walked back, Feral Survival Instincts 50% → 40%, Restoration Swiftmend −20% in PvP with paid Bloom talents, Rogue Preemptive Maneuver 40% → 25% DR. Offense help for Enhancement (Stormstrike / Lava Lash +15%), Elemental Stormbringer, Discipline absorbs / Atonement, and Devastation Flameshaper.
